intec-logoKUALA LUMPUR - Malaysian telecommunications operators could adopt more customer-centric views by lowering their expenditure, especially where the mobile market is concerned, according to Intec Telecom Systems.

As a provider of Business Support Systems (BSS) solutions, Intec claims that it is important for telcos in Malaysia to build strategies in order to nurture the prepaid market, and is offering its services for the region.

One of the solutions provided by Intec is its Wholesale Billing Management Suite (WBMS), a system which helps to manage the international settlement process between telcos for a call across multiple carriers.

According to Malcolm Crouch, Director of Solutions at Intec, Malaysian companies tended to be early adopters of new technology. Adding that the Malaysian market was very dynamic, he mentioned that employers were constantly looking to newer ways to cut costs.

Having obtained MSC status in the year 2000, Intec is currently in talks with all operators in the country. However it does maintain that its primary customers in Malaysia include, U-Mobile, Telekom, Maxis and Celcom.
